Chimney Relining
Chimney relining is the most practical and affordable way to repair deteriorated or damaged chimneys. Liners are used to protect the inside of a masonry chimney from wear and tear caused by wet conditions. Over time, moisture will cause decay and corrosion of mortar, clay, and brick liners by reacting with the exhaust gases to form an acid that slowly eats away at the chimney.
Moisture can also collect and seep into cracks, mortar and bricks. In
colder climates, this moisture will freeze, expand and then thaw, thus
causing chunks of the chimney to break and crumble. The other most
common form of chimney damage is a fire.
We offer cast masonry lining and stainless steel lining. A cast masonry
liner is installed after the removal of the old clay tile masonry liner.
The tested chimney mix is pumped into the chimney casing and around a
temporary deflatable chimney former.
Chimney Caps
Chimney caps keep out rain, snow and sleet, animals and birds, leaves,
twigs, and other debris that could lead to a blockage. It also keeps
sparks from leaving the chimney and igniting nearby combustibles, and
helps eliminate wind-induced downdrafts.
Chimney caps are made
from a variety of materials, and the most common are galvanized,
stainless steel, and copper. Caps made of stainless steel and copper
will last much longer than those made of regular galvanized metal and
normally carry an extended warranty. Spending a little extra for a good,
quality chimney cap will be money well spent, and there will be no
danger of rust staining your chimney.
Safety Inspections
Our company specializes in chimney inspections for insurance companies
and real estate agents. We offer video inspections to determine whether
there are cracks in your current lining system. If the homeowner
suspects they've had a chimney fire, we will go and inspect to see if
there is any damage. We also do checks for cracks in the masonry.
